University Leadership and Management Training Program

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Department of Continuing Education and Education Management at Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg – Germany jointly organized the Dialogue on Higher Education Innovation Strategies (DIES), which emphasized the University Leadership and Administrative Training Program (UNILEAD); Enabling young professionals at the administrative level, from higher education institutions in developing countries, to successfully face the challenges of everyday life. The program brings together topics such as: Project Management, Financing and Investment and Human Resources Management.

Representative of Ecuador at UNILEAD

Engineer Antonio Poveda, UTEG’s Coordinator of links with the community, was one of the selected scholarship holders among more than 300 candidates from all over the world, in order to represent UTEG and Ecuador in UNILEAD. The choice of 25 participants was made by a committee of highly renowned university professors and Higher Education Management experts.

As part of this program, a number of linking projects will be carried out at the UTEG, which include: a) Incubation of enterprises of socially excluded groups through the Entrepreneurship Center of the UTEG; b) Promoting entrepreneurship as an alternative to economic development.
